The ECS Assistant Teacher has a strong interest in problem based learning, small group instruction, differentiation, and supporting the instructional needs of the lead teacher. The ECS Assistant Teacher works collaboratively with classroom teachers, special educators, building specialists, and the Building Leadership Team to provide rigorous and engaging learning opportunities. Candidates should be energetic and progressive minded, with a willingness to work collaboratively with building staff.
Clearances current within one year of employment date will be required. This includes Arrest & Conviction Disclosure, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance (Act 114) and FBI Criminal Background Check. Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168) and Mandated Reporter Training also will be required.
