Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a dietary services helper to support dishwashing, stock replenishment, and sanitation in the healthcare kitchen. You will assist with the preparation and delivery of dietary trays to patients according to diet lists, while upholding Food & Nutrition guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a Serv Safe certification, with the ability to stand long hours, lift and move items, and work well within a team in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• One year of kitchen/food service experience in healthcare preferred.
• Ability to work well with others, stay calm, be flexible and adapt to change.
• Must stand for long periods and be able to lift, bend, and stoop; long hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cleaning and washing dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots and pans.
• Assist with stocking and truck days.
• Help maintain cleanliness and sanitation per Food & Nutrition guidelines and standards.
• Assist in preparation and delivery of dietary trays to patients/residents using diet lists.

Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the department. including trash rmoval and cleaning of surfaces and floors according to Food & Nutrition guidelines and regulatory standards. Help with preparation and delivery of dietary trays to patients/ residents utilizing diet lists.

Demeonstrates knowledge of hospital and Food & Nutrition policies. Able to perform several tasks in an organized manner. Able to stand for long periods, lift, bend, and stoop. Long and flexible hours. Education High School Graduate or G.E.D., Valid Serv Safe Certification.
