Job summary

AdventHealth Tavares, FL is seeking a friendly food service associate to prepare, assemble and deliver meals to patients, staff and visitors. You will stock pantries, maintain clean workstations and follow safety protocols to ensure quality and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities include operating café registers, monitoring temperatures, and recording inventory and billing documentation. A High School Grad is preferred, with 1+ year hospitality or healthcare food service experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills and able to communicate in English.
• Good customer service skills required.
• Computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Physical ability to perform designated job required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed.
