Description

Starting Rate: $9.00 an hour + tips

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Welcomes and warmly greets guests.
2. Provides friendly, fast and efficient service.
3. Informs guests of any specials, giving details of how specials are created and cooked. Suggests appetizers and desserts.
4. Ensures the guests' dining experience is excellent.
5. Inspects tables for proper presentation and completeness.
6. Relays messages to other servers and bus persons as needed.
7. Works with other servers as a team. Willing to help co-workers as situations arise.
8. Clears dirty dishes from tables, whether it is your table or not.
9. Memorizes menu items and informs guests.
10. Remains in the dining area, visible to guests.
11. Turns in food orders promptly and picks up orders when ready. Avoid loitering in the kitchen.
12. Performs side work at the start and end of each shift as required.
13. Prepares final bills, presents checks timely, and makes accurate change.
14. Treats guests with the utmost respect.
15. Politely declines guest requests if unable to fulfill, explaining politely.
16. Asks guests how they enjoyed their dining experience and thanks them.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum six months experience in a similar capacity with excellent guest service skills.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license, Food Handlers license, and liquor license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to carry trays, maneuver in the casino, observe and react to customer questions and complaints, stand/walk for 7.5 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical movements like stretching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching. Must be able to taste, feel, smell, see, read, write, and speak basic English.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment with smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights. Must work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Maintain an alcohol/drug-free workplace.
