Job summary

Stratosphere Gaming, LLC is seeking a Food Server to deliver engaging hospitality in our tavern. You will present menus, take orders, and ensure guests have a warm, memorable visit with knowledgeable beverage recommendations and accurate POS input.

Candidates should have at least 6 months in a full-service dining setting, strong communication, teamwork, and cash-handling experience. You will uphold health and safety standards and provide outstanding service in a fast-paced, high-energy

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture
• Enthusiastically demonstrate knowledge of beer, spirits, and wines
• Present menus, utilize suggestive selling techniques, and answer guest questions regarding food and beverage options
• Accurately take beverage and food orders and input into POS system using Universal Seating guidelines
• Handle payment transactions and ensure correct change or receipt is provided; obtain required guest signatures
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and report concerns to management
• Assist team members with food running, side work, and drink service when needed
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
• Respond to guest inquiries about hotel services and local attractions
• Ensure all food is served in accordance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
• Verify right to work in the United States
