Job summary

Fairmount Park, Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Food Server to join our team. You will deliver friendly, attentive service, help with menu recommendations, and ensure timely, accurate order processing.

Responsibilities include setting tables, running side work, handling POS transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and safety. Applicants must be 21+, able to obtain an Illinois gaming license, and have at least 6 months of experience. Tips welcomed with base pay of $9.00/hr.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Illinois gaming license.
• Six months or more related experience.
• Open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Promote a customer-centric culture and build guest relations.
• Serve customers as part of a team, anticipate needs, and assist with recommendations.
• Perform table setup, side work, and closing duties.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu and wine list, including daily specials.
• Check IDs for alcohol service and for players card validity.
• Compute checks, operate POS, and process payments.
• Report tips for each shift and maintain bar safety and sanitation.
• Arrive on time in full uniform and participate in pre-shift meetings.

## Food ServerApplyposted on: Posted 30+ Days Agojob requisition id: R-101241**About Us****Job Description:****Responsibilities:** •Enthusiastically promote a customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations •Serving customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that “the customer is always right” •Performing table set-up, running side work, and closing duties •Possessing extensive knowledge of the restaurant’s menu and wine list, including daily specials •Checking identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages •Checking identification to ensure customers are using players cards issued to them and no one else •Removes items from table when customers have finished meals •Computing customer checks, operates the POS system and accepts payments •Reporting tips for each shift •Maintaining bar safety and sanitation standards •Possessing awareness of potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falling or burns •Arriving for each shift on time and in full uniform •Attending all pre-shift meetings ready to “listen and learn” and share ideas •Avoiding leaving work area during peak periods •Taking breaks only when approved by the Manager •Keeping a clean and professional appearance at all times •Perform other duties as assigned **Qualifications:** •Must be 21 years of age or older •Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board •Must be a high school graduate or equivalent •Must have six months or more related experience •Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays **Compensation:*** $9.00/hr plus tips**Base Pay Range:***This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position.
