Job summary

Fairmount Park, Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Food Server to join our team. You will deliver friendly, attentive service, help with menu recommendations, and ensure timely, accurate order processing.

Responsibilities include setting tables, running side work, handling POS transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and safety. Applicants must be 21+, able to obtain an Illinois gaming license, and have at least 6 months of experience. Tips welcomed with base pay of $9.00/hr.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Illinois gaming license.
• Six months or more related experience.
• Open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Promote a customer-centric culture and build guest relations.
• Serve customers as part of a team, anticipate needs, and assist with recommendations.
• Perform table setup, side work, and closing duties.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu and wine list, including daily specials.
• Check IDs for alcohol service and for players card validity.
• Compute checks, operate POS, and process payments.
• Report tips for each shift and maintain bar safety and sanitation.
• Arrive on time in full uniform and participate in pre-shift meetings.
