Job summary

Vantage Specialty Chemicals in Carnegie, PA is seeking a Food Scientist to support product design, process development, and application testing within the Food R&D team. This role is ideal for an early-career food scientist or engineer looking to build hands-on experience in developing food ingredient formulations and scalable manufacturing processes.

You will design experiments, assist in scaling up formulations, analyze results, and coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Quality, and Operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant formulation/manufacturing experience.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, optimization and testing of food ingredients and release agents.
• Design and execute experiments; prepare technical reports and guidelines.
• Support lab-scale production and scale-up of formulations.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Sales and Quality; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
