Job summary

Vantage Specialty Chemicals seeks a motivated Food Scientist to support product design, process development, and application testing within the Food R&D team. Early‑career candidate will build hands‑on experience in developing ingredients and scalable manufacturing processes, collaborating with R&D, Marketing, Quality, Operations and Sales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in formulation and/or manufacturing of food products or ingredients.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development, optimization, and testing of food ingredients and release agents.
  • Design and run experiments; develop guidelines and technical reports.
  • Support lab-scale batch production and define manufacturing procedures.
  • Participate in scaling up formulations and transferring processes to manufacturing.
  • Analyze results and recommend process/formulation improvements.
  • Conduct stability testing and sensory evaluations; coordinate testing with partners.
  • Maintain records and input data into internal systems.
  • Support marketing/sales with technical content and customer testing.
