Job summary

Vantage Specialty Chemicals is seeking a motivated Food Scientist to support product design, process development, and application testing within the Vantage Food R&D team. This role offers hands-on experience in forming food ingredient formulations and scalable manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Quality, Operations, and Sales, while engaging with customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least 2 years of relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant formulation/manufacturing experience in food products or ingredients.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites, partners or customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, optimization, and testing of food ingredients and release agents.
• Design and run experiments to evaluate ingredient applications and prepare technical reports.
• Support lab-scale batch production and help define manufacturing procedures.
• Scale up formulations and transfer processes to manufacturing operations.
• Analyze results and recommend process/formulation improvements.
• Conduct basic performance and stability testing, sensory evaluations, and packaging compatibility assessments.
• Coordinate internal or external testing and maintain accurate records.
