Job summary

Mizkan America is seeking an R&D Scientist to lead product development for the Meal Solutions portfolio, including brands like Ragu and Bertolli. You will drive from concept through commercialization, managing several projects with minimal supervision and collaborating across internal and external partners.

You will apply strong food chemistry knowledge, benchtop and pilot-scale prototyping, and DOE methods to deliver innovative, compliant products that meet shelf-life and regulatory

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Food Science, Food Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical or food-related role.
• Strong knowledge of food chemistry, analytical testing, formulations, and processing.
• Experience in product development and commercialization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with DOE and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new product formulations for sauces and meal solutions.
• Lead portfolio renovation and address customer product needs.
• Conduct feasibility assessments, prototype development, costing, and trials.
• Oversee plant trials, documentation, labeling, shelf-life, and production support.
• Manage multiple projects with strict timelines.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to solve problems.
