Job summary

Basic American Foods in Moses Lake, WA seeks a Training Coordinator to develop, implement, and oversee training programs that enhance employee skills, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote workplace safety in a fast-paced food processing environment. You will collaborate with department heads, QA and HR to create and maintain effective training for new hires and current staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2-3 years of training/HR experience in food processing/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of food safety and workplace safety rules in a food plant (HACCP/OSHA a plus).

Responsibilities

• Be safety focused and share best safety practices.
• Develop Alchemy Expertise and manage training records.
• Conduct onboarding training for new employees and maintain task instructions.
• Develop and update training materials, manuals, and SOPs based on regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate and facilitate in-person and online training sessions.
• Partner with supervisors/managers to evaluate training effectiveness.
• Conduct skills assessments and recommend additional training or cross-training opportunities.
