Job summary

Häns Kissle Co. is seeking a Day Shift Sanitation Technician to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across our North Carolina facility.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will support changeovers, ensure food safety, allergen control, and operational readiness while handling sanitation chemicals with proper PPE. The role requires the ability to work with production, maintenance, QA, and sanitation teams, follow SSOPs, and record cleaning activities accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years in sanitation, production, or food manufacturing.
• Safely handle sanitation chemicals, hot water, hoses, and cleaning equipment.
• Understand and follow SSOPs, chemical labels, and safety procedures.
• Work independently or with teams including QA and sanitation.
• Strong communication and timely escalation of concerns.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment parts and components used in production.
• Clean during product and allergen changeovers.
• Sanitize mixers, fillers, pumps, and transfer equipment.
• Handle sanitation chemicals safely per MSDS and labels.
• Assist with cleaning production rooms after equipment removal.
• Maintain cleanliness of spice bins and containers.
• Assist with floor, drain cleaning and other sanitation tasks.
• Complete cleaning records on time.
• Report safety or food safety concerns to the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Support QA with sanitation inspection and verification.
