Qualifications

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and number sequences.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide using tens and hundreds, in units of currency, weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out oral instructions, and handle problems with one concrete variable in standardized situations.
• Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to climb ladders safely.
• Ability to follow GMPs, safety regulations, and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work indoors in a damp environment with industrial-strength cleaners and chemicals.
• Ability to wear all required PPE for the position.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble production equipment and clean/sanitize production work areas using sanitation tools.
• Assist with setup and startup of designated production equipment such as ovens and pasteurizers.
• Assist with Clean Out of Place (COP) procedures.
• Inspect and maintain rodent control stations.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Assist with production tasks as needed and work effectively as part of a team.
• Operate power jacks and forklifts as needed.
• Safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and ensure product quality to support SQF Level 3 certification.
