Job summary

Fortrex in Nebraska is hiring a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to perform sanitation tasks across our food production areas, following eight steps of sanitation and all safety policies. You will work with leads to ensure procedures are followed, wear PPE, and handle hoses, equipment, and chemicals.

The role requires 18+ years old, attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work in extreme temperatures in a wet/hot/cold environment; shift may vary by location, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and instruction from managers.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation following the eight steps of sanitation and company policies.
• Work with leads/management to ensure procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers.
• Wear employer-specified PPE (gloves, face shield, goggles, aprons, boots).
• Exposure to chemicals with PPE.
• Stand, lift, and crouch for extended periods.
• Use Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO).
• Other duties as assigned.
