Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to ensure the highest cleanliness and safety standards in our food production processes. You will perform the eight steps of sanitation in a wet, hot, or cold environment while wearing required PPE.

Responsibilities include following leads and management, lifting equipment and chemical containers, and complying with safety policies including LOTO. Shift details vary by location.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and be accountable for own actions.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• The Food Safety Sanitor performs sanitation labor by following the eight steps of sanitation per policy.
• Work cooperatively with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers while wearing PPE.
• Exposure to chemicals with PPE; job requires standing, lifting, and crouching as needed.
• Follow safety policies and use Lock-out tag-out (LOTO).
• Other duties as assigned.
