Job summary

Jennie-O Turkey Store in Willmar, Minnesota, is seeking a production team member to support swapping, leaker checks, product meat cuttings, samplings and routine production line checks. You will also perform HACCP-related tasks and ensure GMP compliance.

Responsibilities include supporting HACCP/TQC programs, documenting findings, and assisting with process control investigations. Shifts run 8–10 hours with weekends; basic math and computer skills are helpful, and you will receive training on

Qualifications

• Follow all company rules for food safety and employee safety.
• Good attendance: the applicants’ prior attendance record will be considered.
• Complete basic audits including HACCP monitoring and verification, SSOP preoperative and operative sanitation monitoring, weight control checks, on-line quality audits.
• Basic math skills.
• Read, write and be able to communicate with management.
• Maintain accurate and legible documentation of all assigned responsibilities. Work towards becoming knowledgeable in product specifications, GMP policies, SSOP procedures and HACCP programs.
• Work for extended periods of time in a cool environment.
• Work independently and with others with minimal supervision.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Primary duties include swapping, leaker checks, product meat cuttings, samplings and vacation relief.
• Ensure proper execution of HACCP, TQC, NTIS programs and company policies and procedures.
• Provide technical support and training to the plant in areas of USDA regulation compliance, process control program problem analysis investigation, product performance reporting, GMPs and food safety principles.
• Ability to work 8-10 hours per shift and weekends as scheduled.
