Schwartz Brothers Restaurants in Seattle, WA is seeking a Food Safety Quality Technician to monitor production, verify GMP compliance, and ensure finished products meet specifications.

You will perform inspections, record data, handle holds, and maintain HACCP logs while supporting a team focused on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Experience in food safety is preferred; training provided; rate $23-$25 per hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMP and food safety practices.
• Willingness to train; HACCP certification a plus.
• Must obtain Washington State Food Handler's Card within 15 days.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
• Multilingual candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors production of food and verifies ingredient and lot codes.
• Measures product parameters (weight, packaging, sensory data, allergens) to ensure specs.
• Initiates and releases holds for non-conformances or pending micro analysis.
• Records data in the Product Grading Spreadsheet and notifies FSQ team if out of spec.
• Inspects plant areas daily for equipment, sanitation, maintenance and GMP issues.
• Monitors HACCP prerequisite programs to ensure compliant processing.
• Enforces GMPs and reports GMP issues to FSQ Supervisor.
• Verifies daily HACCP records, supervisor checks, logs and allergen forms.
• Performs daily (REB) or weekly (SBB) calibration verification for scales and thermometers.
• Performs monthly metal detection validation.
• Submits work orders for FSQ maintenance issues and provides daily FSQ summaries.
