Job summary

Sigma in Garden City, GA is seeking a QC Technician to ensure product safety for human consumption. Responsibilities include enforcing GMP/SOP/SSOP procedures, performing daily checks, monitoring plant conditions, and collaborating with QC staff and auditors.

You will train across QC positions, assist with moisture and salt analysis, and maintain professional attendance in a cold production environment. 50 lb lifting may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; manufacturing background preferred.
• Strong ability to follow SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and safety rules.
• Read and interpret documents, write routine reports and notes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork to support quality goals.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce Safety, GMP, SOP, & SSOP procedures.
• Perform daily preoperational/operational checks and document reviews.
• Monitor plant for condensation, SSOPs, GMPs; document findings.
• Fill work orders for damages; track corrective actions with QC Manager.
• Train in QC roles and cover for other QC technicians when needed.
• Assist with salt and moisture analysis; pull samples as requested.
• Maintain punctual attendance and professional conduct with coworkers.
• Work in a cold environment; stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Collaborate with auditors and support other QC staff as required.
