Summary/objective
Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for driving accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of the Food Safety and Quality Systems. They scan, image, organize and maintain documents, adhering to the company’s document lifecycle procedures, and they archive inactive records in accordance with the records retention policy. Duties are accomplished with a computer software program. They also assist with file migrations and perform administrative tasks as needed.

Competencies
- The candidate must be proficient in typing and editing skills, type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are also essential because this candidate regularly communicates with internal and external business partners.
- This position will assist the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Team with compliance related activities that include Regulatory compliance, Identity Preserved Programs, Customer, and 3rd Party requirements.
- Manages the Document Control program for the Facility.
- Works with QA Technicians in organizing and completing assigned internal audits. Ensures the timely execution and completion of subsequent corrective and preventive actions.
- Supports the trace and mock recall exercises.
- Assists with special technical projects based on company needs.
- Review and update technical documents (i.e., manuals and workflows)
- Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed.
- Assist with training and compliance tracking records.
- This candidate must have the ability to work independently and be highly motivated.
- May be required to assist lab functions as needed.

Physical demands
- This is a facility-based responsibility. This is not a remote position.
- Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, road and production machines and equipment, etc.)
- While performing the functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit; and occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Travel Required
Required Education And Experience.
- High school or equivalent.
- An advanced degree will set this candidate apart.
- Type and edit a minimum of 40 words per minute.
- Food plant experience in a Quality Assurance role that is inclusive of Food Safety and Quality Control.
- Requires knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong organization skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Experience with CertDox
- Microsoft D365
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Intermediate to expert knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related MS Office Programs.
