Job summary

Sysco seeks a QA Supervisor to oversee QA technicians across production rooms, ensuring FSQA programs and food safety standards are upheld. You will work with site leadership including VP of Operations, President, and FSQA Senior Leadership to address issues and maintain product integrity.

The role requires strong leadership, training capabilities, and proficiency in MS Office. You will supervise daily quality checks, train staff, and ensure safe operations within value-added rooms.

Qualifications

• BS/BA not required; HS diploma or associate degree required.
• Experience in food manufacturing or FSQA programs preferred.
• Strong communication and training skills required.
• Ability to supervise hourly employees and manage teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily walk-throughs to assess work and product quality.
• Review reports from direct reports and resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with SQF/FDA/USDA requirements and food safety policies.
• Communicate quality concerns to site and FSQA leadership as needed.
• Supervise rework of distressed products to meet FSQA standards.
• Lead training and provide feedback on quality processes and procedures.
• Enforce safety procedures and coach employees for policy compliance.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage staff development.
• Schedule staffing for value-added rooms and production areas.
• Oversee audit compliance of daily data entries and checks.
• Coordinate with maintenance for equipment cleaning and repairs as needed.
