Job summary

Bob Evans Farms, Inc. seeks a Food Safety Quality Excellence Coordinator to develop, implement, and revise programming ensuring SOPs, forms, and records are controlled. This role oversees food safety and quality activities at the site, ensuring operations align with current programs.

Shift: 7AM - 5PM, Mon-Fri. Responsibilities include maintaining USDA/FDA paperwork, HACCP, SQF audits, and supporting QFSE initiatives, investigations, and corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's in Food Science preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in a food manufacturing plant environment.
• Experience: Supervisory or managerial experience.
• Experience: Understanding of GMPs, food safety, statistics and lab techniques.
• Experience: Or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with peers and business partners.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Skills: Self-motivated, proactive, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to read technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain quality, food standards and regulatory documents (USDA/FDA).
• Oversee HACCP, SQF audits and food defense programs.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies during non-conformance and drive corrective actions.
• Review USDA packets and release USDA product with internal documentation.
• Participate in audits (internal, external, third-party, regulatory or customer).
• Investigate consumer complaints and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and implement SOPs, SSOPs, One Point Lessons and related records.
• Support QFSE initiatives and training programs; provide coverage for supervisors/managers.
• Perform environmental sampling and document results; communicate findings and root-cause analyses.
