Job summary

Foster Farms in California is seeking an FSQA Representative to ensure compliance with Foster Farms, FSIS/USDA, and customer requirements. This role monitors the production process and carries out routine Food Safety and Quality Assurance checks at the manufacturing site to keep the process in control and the product meeting company standards.

The swing shift pays $20.60 to $24.25 per hour plus shift premium.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly in English (written and verbal).
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Proficient in mathematics.
• Proficient on a computer, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Good organization skills and legible handwriting.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to Food Safety systems through monitoring of process and documentation.
• Ensure compliance to QA process controls through monitoring and documentation.
• Ensure food safety documentation meets regulatory requirements.
• Direct product disposition, including inventory control and reconditioning procedures.
• Verify sanitation practices through pre-operational inspection of equipment.
• Communicate to production/maintenance personnel/supervision to resolve quality issues.
• Communicate to production/maintenance personnel/supervision to resolve food safety issues.
• Communicate with USDA personnel to resolve regulatory issues.
• Attend training as required, including Quality Control, Human Resources, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
