Compass Group USA, through its Flik Hospitality division in Cincinnati, is seeking a Food & Workplace Safety Specialist to uphold world-class safety and QA standards across locations. The role focuses on partnering with culinary and operations teams to drive safe, consistent, and high-performing service.

You will lead training, support audits, and communicate findings with managers, while maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of food service experience.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Working knowledge of food safety principles; FDA Food Code familiarity a plus.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to follow through.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Champion the implementation, monitoring, and verification of food safety, workplace safety, and QA standards across assigned units.
• Provide clear, actionable written feedback to managers and culinary teams.
• Partner with unit leaders to identify safety or QA gaps and drive solutions.
• Collaborate with clients, leadership teams, unit managers, and culinary staff on safety- and QA-related initiatives.
• Participate in internal inspections and support external audits.
• Deliver training and guidance on safety, workplace safety, and QA protocols with accurate documentation.
• Contribute to additional safety, QA, and operational tasks as needed.
