Job summary

The role focuses on developing policies, reviewing inspections, and coordinating with FDA on contract requirements, all while guiding program improvements to benefit communities and businesses statewide.

Qualifications

• Two years as a Food Inspector 2 or four years of experience in inspection of food establishments or food processing facilities, plus a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen Pennsylvania's manufactured food program through evaluation, planning, and regulatory support.
• Develop policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Review inspection findings and assist with enforcement actions.
• Coordinate with FDA staff to meet contract requirements and maintain compliance with national standards.
• Obtain and maintain required credentials for inspections and support activities.
• Deliver training for inspectors, industry partners, and community organizations.
• Conduct audits and analyze program performance to ensure effectiveness and alignment with federal standards.
