Job summary

Steritech in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Food Safety Specialist to support hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients by upholding brand standards, ensuring food quality, and delivering friendly, customer-focused service.

This role conducts audits, monitors safety practices, and trains staff, with travel anywhere from 50% to 70% (8–10 days per month). A CP-FS and/or ServSafe certification is a plus, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Meet the requirements to obtain CP-FS certification
• Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays and evenings as needed
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Licenses/certificates as required by regulations
• Strong knowledge of food safety is preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and inspections to measure conformity to standards
• Observe food prep and cooking to ensure safety and sanitation
• Train and educate staff on food safety practices
• Investigate food safety incidents and implement corrective actions
• Maintain documentation and records related to inspections and compliance
• Travel 50%-70% (8-10 days per month) including some evenings and weekends
