Job summary

Northstar Tavern Inc. is seeking a Food Runner to join our busy Bloomington restaurant. You will bridge the kitchen and front-of-house, delivering meals, clearing tables, and assisting with service flow. If you’re friendly, hardworking, and eager to break into the hospitality industry, we want to hear from you.

The role supports efficient service in a fast-paced setting, with emphasis on teamwork, guest satisfaction, and reliable schedule flexibility in the evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic food safety guidelines.
• Ability to stand long hours and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Friendly, outgoing demeanor and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals and drinks to customers promptly and courteously.
• Communicate food orders to the kitchen staff.
• Refill drinks as needed to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Wipe down tables, chairs and other surfaces between guests.
• Remove tablecloths and reset tables for new guests.
• Clear dirty dishes, glasses and silverware from tables.
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations.
