Job summary

Sonesta Hotels International Corporation is seeking a Food Runner to join our front-of-house team in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will deliver food from the kitchen, ensure accuracy, and support servers and kitchen staff to maintain guest satisfaction.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior restaurant experience is a plus but not required; you’ll receive hotel discounts and other benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain on feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables quickly and accurately
• Verify order details, including special requests and dietary restrictions
• Ensure food presentation meets restaurant standards before delivery
• Assist servers by clearing dishes, resetting tables, and refilling water as needed
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and expo areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
• Provide courteous, professional interaction with guests at all times
