Job summary

Omni Charlottesville Hotel is seeking a friendly Food Runner to deliver meals from kitchen to tables and assist servers during peak service times. You will greet guests warmly, learn the menu, and help with bussing and side work as needed.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for long periods, and work flexible AM/PM shifts, including weekends and holidays. ServSafe and TIPS certifications are required to ensure safe, responsible service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Clear verbal communication with guests, management and co-workers.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays.
• ServSafe and TIPS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Bring food from the kitchen to tables to support the servers.
• Assist servers during meal period.
• Must have knowledge of all menu items.
• Greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Assist the server with busing tables.
• Assisting servers in any capacity to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform the server or manager.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisor or management including side work responsibilities.
