Job summary

The Boca Raton is seeking a Server Assistant to support food running and expo duties in a fast-paced dining room. You will work closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely, accurate, and professional food delivery, while upholding standards of presentation and guest service.

This entry-level role emphasizes urgency, teamwork, and reliability, with opportunities to advance into Captain Assistant or other Front of House positions. Previous restaurant exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior experience as a Food Runner, Server Assistant, or Busser preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain any required licenses or certifications as applicable.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between kitchen and dining room to support timely and accurate food delivery.
• Retrieve completed dishes from the kitchen, verify plate presentation, accuracy, and completeness before leaving the pass.
• Deliver food promptly to the correct table and seat position, using proper service etiquette and tray handling.
• Communicate with kitchen, expeditor, and service team regarding timing, refires, or special requests.
• Support pacing of courses by coordinating with Servers and Captains.
• Ensure expo station readiness and cleanliness throughout service.
• Assist with plate polishing and presentation standards as directed by leadership.
