Job summary

Pinwheel Pasta in Rancho Cucamonga is hiring a Food Runner/Busser to support our Front of House with prompt, friendly service in a lively setting.

You will greet guests, describe specials, take orders, and ensure guest satisfaction while collaborating with the General Manager and Executive Chef.

The position requires no prior experience, physical stamina to lift up to 75 pounds, and a San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, memos, or correspondence.
• Regular, reliable attendance is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• The primary function is prompt, efficient service and professionalism.
• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day to the guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item. Offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
• Takes food and beverage orders for guests.
• Follows up with guest to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintain organized workstation and side work duties.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Follow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Follow established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food and delivery and general service techniques.
• Practice positive teamwork and communication with co-workers, management, and kitchen staff.

• The primary function is prompt, efficient service and professionalism. The wait staff’s first and foremost function is the service of food and beverage. The strength and sincerity of the image of the facility should reflect at all times through a friendly, courteous and helpful attitude.

• Frequently stand and walk; talk and hear. Regularly uses hands to finger, feel or handle; taste or smell; reaches with hands or arms. Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 75 pounds.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Required: Active San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card.
