Job summary

Casa Madera West Hollywood invites a dynamic Food Runner to join our coastal-inspired dining experience where Riviera Maya spirit meets elevated Mexican cuisine. You will help maintain seamless service by ferrying courses, keeping the dining flow smooth, and supporting both kitchen and front-of-house teams.

You should have high energy, be able to stand for long shifts, and work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Full Service Restaurant preferred.
• Available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of shifts and lift up to 35lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and client
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety guidelines
• Proactive and anticipate the needs of coworkers around them that may need
• Ability to have extensive knowledge on the beverages we offer on the menu and the mastery of the food menu in order to properly garnish and send out
• Mechanical in execution uses organized steps of service to ensure order accuracy and consistency even in the busiest of times
• Ensuring that side stations are prepped as needed for business demand
• Build rapport with guests in order to increase repeat clientele

Food Runners are responsible for controlling the flow of food in and out of the kitchen and maintaining clear communication between the kitchen and front of house team. Additional responsibilities include setting tables, serving food orders and removing used dishes and utensils. Runners must have extensive menu knowledge to be able to correctly name each dish (including modifications) as it is delivered to a table. Ultimately, you will ensure our guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner.
