Job summary

Heritage Hotels & Resorts in Santa Fe, NM, is seeking a reliable Food Runner to support dining operations by delivering food promptly while upholding presentation, sanitation, and guest service standards.

You’ll work with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service, maintain a clean dining area, and respond to guest needs with professionalism. This role offers a collaborative team culture and opportunities for growth within our locally owned hospitality group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to lift up to 30+ pounds in a humid kitchen and dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from kitchen to tables quickly and accurately.
• Comply with sanitation and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and professional presentation of the dining area.
• Maintain table settings by delivering courses and replenishing utensils.
• Assist servers and kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and service staff regarding order status and guest needs.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain a high level of positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
• Deliver food orders from kitchen to tables quickly and accurately
• Comply with nutrition sanitation and safety standards at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and professional presentation of the dining area
• Maintain table settings by delivering courses replenishing utensils and being alert to beverage needs
• Assist servers and kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and service staff regarding order status and guest needs
• Support service operations during peak business periods
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean organized work area and professional appearance in compliance with uniform and grooming standards
• Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary client and guest information
• Perform other duties consistent with the functions of this position as needed at the property

• High school diploma or equivalent experience or training required
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Ability to multitask in fast paced environments

• Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
