Job summary

  • Practice and demonstrate Food Safe handling and practices.
  • Set the outside expo line with B&B plates, roll-ups, plastic flatware, linen napkins, and other items needed for food delivery.
  • Organize plates in the window and match each one with each ticket to run food to the tables.
  • Set tables in accordance with The Club at ArrowCreek standards.

Food Runner

The Club at ArrowCreek, located in Reno, NV, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Food Runner. We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful coaching as needed.
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture values and mission of The Club at ArrowCreek.
  • Develop positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
  • Maintain a high degree of organizational skills to easily locate tables/bar and ensure guests receive the correct orders.
  • Communicate and listen effectively to ensure clear and accurate fulfillment of guests’ requests.
  • Practice and demonstrate Food Safe handling and practices.
  • Ensure that all material used by servers is clean and ready for daily operations.
  • Possess knowledge of each guest’s chair position in the dining rooms and lounges.
  • Set the outside expo line with B&B plates, roll‑ups, plastic flatware, linen napkins, and other items needed for food delivery.
  • Organize plates in the window and match each one with each ticket to run food to the tables.
  • Set tables in accordance with The Club at ArrowCreek standards.
  • Ensure each menu item is prepared in exact detail as outlined on each ticket.
  • Correct menu items with the chef if they do not meet the exact specification on the ticket.
  • Fill and refill water glasses, iced tea, etc., and remove any place settings not being used.
  • Clear dishes located in front of guests upon completion of a course (always ask if you may clear their dishes prior to removal).
  • Clear and reset tables when guests leave, including changing tablecloths, sanitizing chairs, placing chairs at the table, and replacing silverware, glassware, and napkins.
  • Assist servers as needed.
  • Keep workstations cleaned and well stocked of needed items.
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Education / Experience
  • Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must obtain any required local and state licenses or certifications.
Environment / Noise
  • Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non‑weather); may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level is moderate.
Certificates / Licenses
  • No certifications or licenses required.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.
  • Assigned to work in other areas to cover absences or relieve peak work periods to balance workload.
  • Knowledge of dining room operations required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, guests, and employees both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to perform basic math computations.
