Job summary

Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill in Millville, NJ is looking for a Food Runner to bridge the kitchen and dining room, delivering meals and clearing after service. You will also assist with packing take-out orders and help maintain a clean, organized dining area.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, a positive guest-first attitude, and the stamina to stand for long shifts in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus but not required.
• Attention to detail of food and plating before delivery to customers
• Physical ability and stamina to carry plates and stand for long hours
• Strong oral communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and guest-first mindset
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
• Must be reliable and punctual

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables accurately and promptly
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow
• Ensure all dishes are properly garnished and presented before delivery
• Assist servers with table maintenance, including clearing plates and refilling beverages
• Monitor dining room needs and respond quickly to guest requests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations
• Pack take-out orders neatly and accurately

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Food Runner to join our team and facilitate collaboration between our kitchen and wait staff. In this position, you will be responsible for serving food orders, removing used dishes & utensils, and packing take-out orders. If you’d like to gain experience in the restaurant industry and learn how to provide an excellent dining experience, we’d like to meet you. Compensation includes wages and tips.
