Job summary

The Greenleigh River Oaks is seeking a Food Runner to connect kitchen and front-of-house, delivering dishes promptly and with care in our upcoming Houston property.

The role collaborates with servers and the culinary team, maintains station cleanliness, supports service, and upholds guest satisfaction while following safety standards. Training provided for an elevated dining experience.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and according to service standards.
• Verify that all orders are complete, properly prepared, and presented before leaving the kitchen.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Assist servers by delivering condiments, refilling water, clearing completed courses, and responding to guest requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, expo areas, and dining spaces.
• Support table maintenance by clearing and resetting tables as needed.
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of menu items to accurately identify and present dishes to guests.
• Maintain awareness of guest needs and provide prompt, courteous assistance throughout the dining experience.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

Role

Food Runners serve as the vital connection between our culinary and front-of-house teams, ensuring every dish is delivered promptly, accurately, and with exceptional care. This role works closely with servers, bartenders, and the culinary team to maintain efficient service, uphold presentation standards, and provide an elevated dining experience for every guest.
