Job summary

Hawksmoor - US in Chicago is seeking a brand-new Runner to join our team and support our second international restaurant in Chicago.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will help run the dining room with high service standards, assist with food delivery, maintain cleanliness, and communicate between floor and kitchen in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working in some of the best restaurants in Chicago.
• Comfortable and experienced with high volume businesses in terms of both covers and revenue.
• knowledge of food and beverage.
• Highly professional with exacting standards.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the team running the restaurant.
• Correct set up and break down of the restaurant daily.
• Correct set up and break down of FOH kitchen area.
• Maintain and up –keep crockery and cutlery to the highest standard.
• Relay and communicate between floor and kitchen.
• Deliver food to tables from kitchen in the correct manner.
• Ensure service and hospitality standards are high and consistent.

The LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse is a beautiful, designated landmark, initially opened in 1887, in the heyday of Chicago’s cable car system. We intend to do it justice by restoring the original features to their former glory and, at the same time, breathe new life into the space.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• To be part of the team running the restaurant, including, but not exclusively:
  o Correct set up and break down of the restaurant daily
  o Correct set up and break down of FOH kitchen area

  o Product
  o Points of service for the restaurant

  o Food Hygiene and Health and safety
