Job summary

ROOP is seeking a Server Assistant to join the team in a role that trains you to be both a busser and a runner. You will work a mix of shifts across those roles, delivering food and maintaining service flow for guests.

Ideal candidates are ready to learn, stay organized during busy service, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivering food orders from the kitchen to guest tables rapidly and accurately
• Making sure all plates are consistently plated and garnished and alerting chefs of any issues
• Assisting in bussing tables and clearing plates
• Table Maintenance throughout their dinner making sure we are picking up dirty plates and keeping the table clean immaculate
• Switching plates and silverware between appetizers and entrees and dessert
• Communicating food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities (e.g. food allergies)
• Explaining the food to guests as you deliver it
• Being knowledgabale about the food in order to answer any questions the guest may have
• Maintaining a calm and friendly attitude at all times
• Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
