Grace Klein Community is seeking a responsible and reliable Food Rescue Representative to join our team. The Representative will ensure the safe transportation of rescued food and other items, performing basic vehicle checks and maintaining fleet schedules.

The role requires driving responsibilities, adherence to safety procedures, and strong communication with the logistics team. This is a full-time, hourly-paid position with weekly payroll.

Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct basic checks on fleet vehicles before and after driving to ensure they are in proper working condition.
  • Transportation: Safely drive fleet vehicles to designated locations for picking up rescued food and other assigned items.
  • Transportation: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transportation.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading goods onto/from the fleet vehicles.
  • Loading and Unloading: Ensure that all items are properly secured for transportation to prevent damage.
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication with the logistics team regarding schedules, pickups, and deliveries.
  • Communication: Report any vehicle issues or incidents immediately to the appropriate personnel.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities for each vehicle.

This is a full-time, hourly-paid position, 40 hours per week.

Notes

  • The position reports to Josh Key.
  • Hours are to be recorded on Isolved daily and confirmed at the end of the day every Tuesday. Time off to be requested here, too.
  • Payroll is via direct deposit and paid weekly.
