Job summary

Bowman Andros is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure processes and products meet federal, state, and customer standards. You will perform on-floor quality tests, pull samples for lab testing, and record results to support corrective actions.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent, strong math and communication skills, and experience with lab equipment such as pH meters, refractometers, and titrators. This is a full-time, on-site manufacturing role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent; 2 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Basic algebra: ability to perform arithmetic operations accurately.
• Proficient written and verbal communication; document, email, take notes.
• Experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Ability to operate lab equipment such as pH meters, refractometers, and titrators.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Proficiency with BAP WMS or ability to learn quickly.
• Knowledge of Food Safety regulations and manufacturing processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication across departments.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Comfort with overtime and weekend work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensures work conforms to food safety and worker safety regulations.
• Performs preoperational checks and CCP testing as applicable.
• Pulls samples and transports to the lab for Day +1 testing.
• Notifies management of out-of-spec results to drive corrective action.
• Initiates Quality Holds on non-conforming products.
• Maintains documentation and Retain room organization.
• Operates lab equipment and conducts product/raw material testing.
• Maintains clean, orderly lab and work areas.
• Promotes safety policies and GMP compliance.
• Supports the Quality Control Supervisor and Manager as needed.
