Central Garden & Pet Company is seeking a Quality Control Technician - Manufacturing to ensure products are packaged correctly and meet established quality standards before shipping to customers.

The role involves inspecting raw materials and finished goods, collaborating with production teams, maintaining inspection records, and identifying opportunities to improve processes. Shifts are 2nd (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) and 3rd (10:00 PM–6:30 AM).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in quality control preferred.
• Must have food manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
• Strong math, technical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of quality testing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products for defects.
• Collaborate with production to ensure compliant processes.
• Record inspections and test results accurately.
• Reject products not meeting quality standards.
• Collect samples to verify batch conformity.
• Identify process improvements to enhance quality.
• Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated regularly.
• Investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes.
• Communicate quality goals with staff and management.
• Prioritize safety during quality activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
