Job summary

The Pictsweet Company is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our Bells, TN facility. The role operates on a swing shift with rotation between two departments, each having different start/end times. Candidates should have experience in food quality control and knowledge of HACCP/GMP practices.

Responsibilities include monitoring weights, temperatures, ingredients, and labels, while communicating findings to supervision. Extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in food quality control or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and statistical analysis preferred.
• Must read and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations including fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Study grade standards and apply to products assigned IQF, and repack items.
• Read and understand “Net Weight Control Book.”
• Check package weights, calculate averages and ranges, and graph results.
• Monitor product ingredients, ratios, and grades in blended products.
• Obtain and record product temperatures and coding information for labels.
• Communicate pertinent findings to Manager/Supervision.
• Work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
