Job summary

The Pictsweet Company is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for 2nd shift at its Bells, TN processing facility to oversee all quality systems and ensure food safety.

You will supervise staff, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with FDA/USDA, HACCP, and GMP standards while collaborating with other departments. Must reside within 20 miles of Bells, TN or relocate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required if less than five years’ supervisory experience.
• Five years’ experience as a supervisor in manufacturing, quality assurance, or food environment.
• A Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all quality systems for day-to-day production and storage of products.
• Ensure conformance to specifications and expectations for products and processes.
• Work with Quality Systems Manager on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and supervise employees in QA policies and procedures.
• Execute BRC programs at the front line and production floor.

The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor 2nd Shift at our frozen vegetable processing facility in Bells, TN. This position is responsible for supervising all quality systems for our flagship manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring and managing all quality systems in place for the day to day production and storage of quality products manufactured under clean, safe, and wholesome conditions.
• Assures quality conformance to specifications and expectations for all products and processes.
• Work with Quality Systems Manager for continuous improvement initiatives for product quality.
• Performs rapid decision making and corrective actions for ensuring the production of high quality products.
• Ensures proper grading of raw materials.
• Learns product grading in detail and trains Quality Technician's grading performance.
• Performs regrading and hold decisions in accordance with the facilities SOPs.
• Responsible for training and supervising employees in Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
• Executes BRC programs at the front line and production floor level.
• Follows and enforces all Company policies and procedures, which include SOPs, Employee Handbook, Food Quality Policies, GMP Handbook, HACCP, and Pictsweet Safety Procedures.
• Complies with all regulations relating to food safety and personnel safety such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, and TOSHA.
• Work cooperatively with other departments in plant.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must reside within 20 miles of Bells, TN or be willing to relocate.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Must have Bachelor’s Degree if less than five years’ supervisory experience.
