Job summary

Mission Produce is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to help document essential quality activities and communicate information to the QA team. You will monitor visual aspects of FDC operations and perform physical testing of products to meet regulatory standards.

The role involves routine inspections, sample testing, and generating aging/shipping/receiving/grading reports. You will collaborate with supervisors and maintain clean, safe work practices in a cold environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Microsoft Office required.
Experience with food facility regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible hours; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine visual inspections of the product.
Sample and inspect raw and finished products to ensure conformance to standards.
Initiate and complete aging, shipping, receiving, and grading reports.
Create and run experiments to test packaging, product, and other quality elements.
Communicate quality concerns via email to the team.
Test product for oil content, temperature, and defects.
Lift 48-pound containers from pallets.
Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
Communicate issues to leads and supervisors.
