Nature's Touch is seeking a detail-driven QA Technician to support our food safety programs in a fast-paced frozen foods facility in Virginia. You will help with hold and release, SOP maintenance, and internal audits while acting as a backup for laboratory work.

You will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and Food Safety team, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with HACCP, SQF/BRCGS, and CFIA standards. Strong documentation and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in frozen foods.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or related field.
• Experience with hold and release, SOP writing, and internal audits.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, GFSI standards (SQF/BRCGS), CFIA regulations.
• Hands-on laboratory experience (microbiological sampling, pH, Brix, physical analysis).

Responsabilités

• Hold and release for raw materials and finished goods.
• Write, review, and update SOPs, work instructions, and quality forms.
• Maintain audit-ready quality records and data in Excel/quality systems.
• Assist in internal audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform GMP inspections in production areas; support environmental monitoring.
• Sample inbound containers for microbiological and physicochemical testing.
• Provide backup coverage for laboratory testing and ensure testing schedules.
