Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform in-process inspections and evaluate finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. The role requires attention to detail, strong math and computer skills, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities include sampling materials, testing, documenting results, and maintaining a compliant work environment. This is a union position with benefits after probation, and the candidate should be able to work overtime and weekends

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent mandatory.
• Able to read, write and speak English; Spanish a plus.
• Proficient with basic math and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Identify raw and cooked material condition by sampling and testing.
• Identify in-process product condition by sampling during production and testing.
• Determine disposition of finished product by analyzing data and judging against specifications.
• Document finished product status by recording inspection and test data.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Contribute to team by performing other duties as assigned.
• Participate in food safety programs to ensure ingredient and product safety.
• Attend training sessions to maintain compliance and regulatory knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
