Job summary

Aptar in Auburn, AL is seeking a Food Protection Quality Technician to join our North America Quality Protection team. This role focuses on inspection, adherence to cGMP, and ensuring product safety and quality across incoming, in-process, and finished goods.

You will support production, document inspections, and participate in calibration checks, with a base salary and generous benefits. If you are detail-oriented with a quality mindset, this is a great fit in a global packaging leader.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Experience in Quality Assurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection on trays or other Food Protection product or material during incoming, in-process or finished product stages.
• Notify Food Protection Operator of any quality issue that needs to be addressed.
• Initiate quarantine process for non-conforming product.
• Complete paperwork documenting inspections and provide the issue/report to Food Protection Process Engineer and Food Protection Quality Engineer.
• Follow and enforce cGMP across Food Protection Operations as they relate to proper and safe product manufacturing, packing, and handling.
• Verify the calibration status of all equipment and instruments used for measuring product quality characteristics.
• Perform any other task as requested, supporting production to achieve productivity goals.
• Housekeeping.

We have an exciting position open in North America: Food Protection Quality Technician reporting to the Quality Engineer III, Food Protection. This position will be based in Auburn, AL.

THIS IS HOW YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS:
