Job summary

Aptar Italia S.P.A. is seeking a Production Technician I to support our maintenance team in New Jersey. You will handle parts, move materials with hand tools, inspect components, and assist with traceability and data recording.

A strong focus on safety, accuracy and teamwork is essential. We offer a collaborative environment with opportunities for hands-on development and a competitive compensation package including a bonus plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required or equivalent.
• Excellent communication with teams at all levels.
• Technical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orders component parts through computer entry.
• Delivers components to work stations by hand or with a hand truck.
• Moves cartons of assembled product from stations by hand or with a hand truck.
• Verifies correctness of components through visual inspection and reading box labels.
• Fills machine hoppers at various heights.
• Performs record keeping and weighs scrap; records data.
• Performs traceability and lot control with a handheld scanner.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in the production area.

This is how your journey begins

• Orders component parts through computer entry
• Delivers component parts to work stations by hand and using a hand truck and/or pallet jack
• Moves cartons of assembled product from work stations by hand and using a hand truck and/or pallet jack
• Verifies correctness of components through visual inspection and reading box labels
• Fills machine hoppers at various heights
• Performs record keeping duties; weighs scrap and records data
• Performs traceability and lot control functions utilizing a hand held scanner
• Performs housekeeping duties in the production area
