Job summary

The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District is recruiting a full-time Environmental Health Program Coordinator for the Food Program in Champaign, Illinois. Under the Environmental Health Director, you will plan, manage, coordinate, evaluate public health programs and supervise staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating and evaluating programs, developing data collection methods, ensuring grant compliance, and supporting program operations; licensure may allow direct service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health or closely related field with minimum science coursework.
• Three years of professional work experience in a related area.
• Environmental Health Practitioner License or equivalent license/registration.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and evaluates public health programs and services within a division and District-wide.
• Develops methods to collect, analyze and evaluate program data and procedures.
• Collaborates with funding agents to resolve procedural issues.
• Ensures compliance with grants and funding sources.
• Supervises staff performance and conducts evaluations; supports program operations.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in environmental health

Environmental Health Practitioner License

Master’s degree substitution for one year of experience
