Job summary

Fresh Texas in Austin, TX is seeking a Production Supervisor to execute daily production assignments from the Production Manager, ensuring goals are met efficiently and safely.

You will lead shift manpower, coordinate production flows with the Packaging Room Supervisor, uphold HACCP, SSOP and GMPS, and drive continuous improvement with the team. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Coaching and mentoring experience required.
• Minimum 5 years in food industry experience.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Preferred: Associate degree in food science/manufacturing.
• Preferred: Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years supervisor experience in food industry.

Responsibilities

• Manages division of responsibilities among employees on each shift and leads daily manpower planning.
• Helps ensure production meets efficiency and quality standards.
• Reviews production documents to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Reports equipment downtime and communicates with affected departments.
• Partners with Packaging Room Supervisor to ensure smooth product flow.
• Ensures General Labor follows HACCP, SSOPs, GMPS and safety rules.
• Oversees daily, weekly, monthly food safety paperwork (HACCP, SSOP, etc.).
• Helps update SSOPs, GMPS, and HACCP with Production and Quality teams.
• Identifies areas for safety and production improvements.
